Zhe (Alex) Zhu co-leads the Litigation Department at Brinen & Associates, where Ms. Zhu represents clients in complex commercial disputes, including partnership conflicts, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and securities litigation. Ms. Zhu’s practice is characterized by meticulous attention to detail and strategic acumen, aligning with the firm’s philosophy of “sweating the small stuff” to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Ms. Zhu follows the philosophy that a fight is won before the first blow has landed, and that litigation is the last resort of the incompetent.

Before joining Brinen & Associates, Ms. Zhu gained experience in the fintech sector. Ms. Zhu holds a B.A. in Economics and Psychology from New York University, an M.S. in Analytics from Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. Ms. Zhu is qualified to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C.

Fluent in Mandarin and English, and having lived in both Hong Kong and Shanghai before moving to the United States, Ms. Zhu brings a global perspective to her legal practice. Ms. Zhu’s background allows her to navigate the nuances of cross-border disputes with insight and agility.

Ms. Zhu continues to be a dedicated advocate for her clients and a leader within the firm.
