Ethics and equity and the principles of justice do not change with the calendar. But do you know what does? Deadlines.

We all have our own personal laundry list of important dates to keep track of: Appointments, birthdays, our children’s sporting events… and for those of us lucky enough to face reporting obligations to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), to that list of important dates must be appended the filing deadlines for the various quarterly and annual reports.

It can be a bit much, especially when it comes to the high-pressure deadlines associated with these regulatory filings.

Now we often get emails from various transfer agents and other lawyers who use static calendars that purport to keep track of these filing requirements. The calendar having been around since the Sumerians, you’d think in this day and age of iPads, we could do a little bit better.

I give you a modest example here of how we at Brinen & Associates use technology in an attempt to improve upon what the Sumerians wrought.

With help from Excel, we have put together a little flexible program that allows you to keep track of your SEC filing deadlines more easily. All you have to do is enter the appropriate year-end for your filing entity and the spreadsheet will calculate the due dates for all your important 10K and 10Q filings, parsed out by filing and filer types. We have also included a list of important SEC holidays to help ensure you file on time, every time. In order to download your copy of our SEC filing calendar simply fill out the form below and you will be redirected to a page where you can download it. We will also keep your email on file and notify you whenever we have any new valuable information that we would like to share with you.

We are not just giving you a fish, or even teaching you to fish. With this bit of technology applied to the law, we are giving you the equivalent of a seamless web account and a link to our favorite sushi joint that delivers.

Now that you know your SEC filing deadlines, you should also know that we are ready and available to help prepare your filings. Please contact me or Stephanie Gruenhagen if you would like more information about how we can help your company streamline this process and reduce the costs of your SEC reporting.

I formerly worked as a satellite employee from my home state of New Jersey. I ended my employment with my former employer in 2016. In 2018, I was sued by my former employer for $1.1 million in Illinois State Court. I was referred to Brinen & Associates, LLC by a friend who is a client of the firm. Brinen & Associates, LLC came highly recommended. I contacted Joshua Brinen and then had a consultation at his office with his colleague Mark White. Together, Messrs. Brinen and White explained my options...
